Ε-65: Διαβεβαίωση Κ. Μητσοτάκη σε Κ. Σκρέκα και Λ. Αβραμόπουλο για ολοκλήρωση του έργου
Μετά την ολοκλήρωση της εκδήλωσης, ο Πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης έκανε μια σύντομη στάση σε σημείο του δρόμου Τρικάλων – Καλαμπάκας, όπου, συνοδευόμενος από τον Υπουργό Υποδομών και Μεταφορών Χρήστο Σταϊκούρα, συνομίλησε με τον Δήμαρχο Καλαμπάκας Λευτέρη Αβραμόπουλο. «Θέλαμε να έρθουμε εδώ, μέχρι την Καλαμπάκα, διότι εκτός από τον νότιο κομμάτι το οποίο μόλις παραδώσαμε στην κυκλοφορία, δίνουμε στην κυκλοφορία και το πρώτο τμήμα του βορείου μέρους του Ε65, το οποίο συνδέει τα Τρίκαλα με την Καλαμπάκα, έτσι ώστε να μπορεί να φτάνει κανείς πια από την Αθήνα στα Μετέωρα, από έναν κλειστό και ασφαλή αυτοκινητόδρομο, σε χρόνο πολύ λιγότερο απ’ όσο θα χρειαζόταν πριν ολοκληρωθεί όλο το έργο. Και βέβαια δεν χρειάζεται να τονίσω πόσο σημαντικός προορισμός είναι τα Μετέωρα και πόσο πιστεύω ότι ο δρόμος αυτός θα συμβάλλει ακόμα περισσότερο στην ανάπτυξη της Καλαμπάκας αλλά και της ευρύτερης περιοχής», τόνισε ο Πρωθυπουργός.«Για όσες και για όσους συμπολίτες μας ακόμη δεν έχουν προγραμματίσει τις πασχαλινές τους διακοπές, να σκεφτούν πολύ σοβαρά τη Δυτική Θεσσαλία, η οποία εξάλλου δοκιμάστηκε τόσο πολύ από τον “Daniel”. Τώρα η πρόσβαση είναι πια πολύ πιο εύκολη, να έρθουν εδώ, να στηρίξουν και την τοπική κοινωνία και να απολαύσουν τις καταπληκτικές ομορφιές αυτού του τόπου, ερχόμενοι πια πολύ πιο γρήγορα και με πολύ μεγαλύτερη ασφάλεια», συμπλήρωσε ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης.
